At All Saints Church of England Academy, we believe that a school uniform plays an important role in promoting a sense of belonging, pride and community. A smart and practical uniform helps pupils feel part of our school family and supports the high expectations we have for learning, behaviour and personal presentation.

As a Church of England school, our vision is to create the fertile soil in which all children can flourish. We are committed to ensuring that our uniform policy supports inclusion, removes barriers to attendance and reflects our values of dignity, respect and belonging.

We recognise that many families face financial pressures and that school uniform should never become a barrier to attending school, participating fully in school life or accessing educational opportunities.

Affordability and Support for Families

At All Saints, we recognise that the cost of school uniform can place pressure on family finances. In line with Department for Education guidance, we are committed to keeping uniform costs as low as possible and ensuring that no child's education is negatively affected by an inability to purchase uniform.

As a school serving a community where many families face financial pressures, we are committed to ensuring that uniform supports belonging and pride without creating unnecessary cost. Consistent with our vision of "Learning and Growing Together to be the Best That We Can Be", we aim to remove barriers so that every child can flourish.

Keeping Costs Low

We have deliberately kept the number of compulsory branded items to a minimum.

Only three items must be purchased with the school logo:

• School jumper or cardigan.

• School PE T-shirt.

• School PE quarter-zip tracksuit top.

All other items can be purchased from any retailer provided they meet the school's colour and style requirements.

Pre-Loved Uniform

We operate a pre-loved uniform rail on both school sites.

Families are welcome to:

• Browse available items at any time.

• Take items they need.

• Leave a small voluntary donation if they wish and are able to do so.

No family is expected to make a donation in order to access pre-loved uniform.

Additional Support

To support families further:

• Pupils eligible for Pupil Premium funding are entitled to receive two free uniform items each academic year.

• Additional support may be available where families are experiencing financial hardship.

Parents and carers who are finding the cost of uniform or shoes difficult are encouraged to contact the school office in confidence.

We will always work sensitively with families to identify practical solutions and access additional support where available.
